From mid-April to early May, approximately 5.3 million baby blue eyes (Nemophila) bloom, turning the entire area into a sea of vivid blue that seems to stretch into the sky.
The stunning view is truly a feast for the eyes.
This year, the combination with canola flowers (rapeseed blooms) is even more captivating. They’ve also introduced a creamy white variety of canola, so you can admire fields of blue, yellow, and white flowers all together — a breathtaking blend of colors.
Blooming Season:
April 6 – May 6
Admission:
Adults: ¥800
Seniors (65+): ¥560
Location:
Hitachi Seaside Park (国営ひたち海浜公園)
How to Get There (from Tokyo):
Take the JR Joban Line Limited Express from Tokyo Station to Katsuta Station (approx. 70 minutes)
From Katsuta Station East Exit, Bus Stop #2, take the Ibaraki Kanko Bus
Approx. 20 minutes to the Park South Gate
