【Vietnam】3.5-Hour Ho Chi Minh City Half-Day Tour

Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam is home to numerous historical buildings scattered across different parts of the city. With 6 hours left before my flight back to Hong Kong, I decided to explore the city after enjoying breakfast at the hotel.

🗓️ Itinerary: Central Post Office, Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica, Independence Palace, Ho Chi Minh City Hall, Takashimaya Department Store

✅ Recommended photo spots:

🙌🏻 Inside the Central Post Office, there’s a 20th-century design featuring phone booths with international time zones. You can step into one of the booths for a unique photo.

🙌🏻 Outside the Central Post Office, take a wide shot to capture the entire French colonial-style building.

👀 On the way from the Central Post Office to Independence Palace, you’ll find many large, distinctive posters that stand out beautifully against the greenery. 🤩

🏛️ At Ho Chi Minh City Hall, take a wide shot from across the street to capture the entire building.

Finally, I enjoyed a meal of Vietnamese cuisine at the food court on the 5th floor of Takashimaya Department Store before heading back. 😃

Another historical site in Ho Chi Minh City is the Cu Chi Tunnels. Due to its location, you’ll need to allocate more time for a visit.
