What does Hoi An have to offer?

Vietnam for the 10th time! My passport for 2025 🇲🇦 has already been stamped at least 5 times 😂. I feel like a Vietnamese citizen at this point. Immigration officers flip through my passport looking puzzled, haha. Some people might not like it, but personally, I still enjoy visiting Vietnam. If you compare the cost, it’s not much different from traveling within Thailand. Honestly, going to Chiang Mai or Phuket is even more expensive, haha.
I always book tickets to Vietnam in advance because I love how close it is to Thailand. The flight is just 1.5 hours. You can spend the time deleting photos on your phone, and before you know it, the captain announces — "Cabin crew, prepare for arrival," every single time 😂.
As for Hoi An, this time might be my last visit because it felt quite lonely. Even though there were plenty of tourists braving the 40-degree heat, walking around and exploring the city, personally, I didn’t find much to do, see, or eat there, haha. Maybe it’s just not my personal taste. I ended up just lounging around, reading books, and relaxing. If I were in Thailand, I wouldn’t even do things like dragging flip-flops around, haha.
What I do love, though, is the concept of cross-country staycations. This is great! Hotels are super cheap, even big 5-star chains are 50% cheaper than in Thailand. The staff are incredibly friendly, as is typical in Vietnam. "Welcome, Xin Chào!" 😂. I could keep coming back without hesitation.
