[Hong Kong Places to Visit] ~ Tian Tan Buddha

The Tian Tan Buddha located at the Po Lin Monastery on Lantau Island has been with us for more than 30 years. The renovation work started in June 2020 and the first phase has been completed. When I visited this spring, the construction was in full swing and there was heavy fog, so I could hardly see the Buddha at all. 😶‍🌫 The day before yesterday, I felt completely different. In the early winter sunshine, the Buddha's light began to appear, and the Buddha seemed to be sitting on a golden plate, bathing and changing clothes, solemn and mysterious.

Transportation: Exit B of Tung Chung MTR Station, take the Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car at Tung Chung Cable Car Station, then walk for 20-25 minutes
