A friend got me hooked on spicy fish. Yes, with the overcast and slightly cool weather, I still feel like I need something spicy to chase away the dampness... There are a few tricks to getting the best deal on spicy fish. This time, I'll take you to Tsim Sha Tsui for a lunchtime spicy fish experience that's both economical and satisfying.
🌶️ Grilled Fish Set (Tilapia) for 1 person $89
You can choose between spicy, pickled cabbage, or tomato flavors for the grilled fish, and you can choose the spiciness level. I ordered the medium spicy version. The set comes with either rice or sweet potato noodles. I ordered the smoky, chewy sweet potato noodles to go with the grilled fish. If you prefer something a bit richer, you can add extra hot pot ingredients, but since lunch was only an hour long, I didn't order any extras.
The grilled fish is served over a low heat. Tilapia tends to have a bit more bones, but they're large bones, making it easier to eat. The grilled fish, served while being rolled, is fragrant and spicy, and paired with tofu, kelp knots, and sweet potato starch, it's truly satisfying.
🔸Summary:
No extra charge during lunch. The grilled fish is delicious, the portion is generous, and the value is excellent. I'll definitely be back.
