The suburb to be introduced this time is Hoi Ha Wan, located in Sai Kung West Country Park. Located in the north of Sai Kung, Hoi Ha Wan is one of the first coastal parks in Hong Kong. Hoi Ha Bay is an area of high ecological value with a high degree of biodiversity. This is because Hoi Ha Bay has a natural barrier that blocks the influx of seawater impurities, making Hoi Ha Bay one of the coasts with excellent water quality and less affected by human pollution. Due to the clear water and high biodiversity, many water activities can be carried out here, such as canoeing and snorkeling. Hoi Ha Wan is one of the few places in Hong Kong where visitors can enjoy close-up views of corals. In addition to snorkeling to admire the precious corals, visitors can also interact closely with many underwater creatures. Visitors who do not want to go into the sea can also choose to go to the Jockey Club HSBC World Wildlife Fund (Hong Kong) Hoi Ha Wan Marine Life Centre, which is a 10-minute walk from Hoi Ha Wan Cafe, to ride Hong Kong's first specially designed glass-bottom boat. Take a glass-bottom boat under the guidance of conservationists to explore the coastal environment and ecology of Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park and appreciate the rich and unique ecology of Hoi Ha Wan.
While visitors are enjoying the rich natural ecology, they are also reminded to leave no trace and protect this unique coral community and self-sufficient ecosystem under the sea.
Transportation: Take minibus No. 7 from Sai Kung Pier, get off at the terminal, and walk about 15 minutes
