Chill and take the 360 cable car straight to Ngong Ping

In the past, I'd usually take the bus to Ngong Ping, Lantau Island, but this year I opted for the Ngong Ping 360. While it's a bit pricey at 235 Hong Kong dollars for a round-trip standard carriage, I definitely wanted to experience it all.

The cable car leaves Tung Chung Cable Car Station, crosses Tung Chung Bay, and continues its ascent. From the heights, you can enjoy sweeping views of Tung Chung town and the airport. After crossing the 751-meter-high Maitreya Mountain, you can see the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and the artificial island.

The cable car ride takes about 25 minutes and takes you to Ngong Ping Village. It's truly unforgettable to see Lantau Island from a different perspective along the way.

From June 13th to September 3rd, some of the cable car cabins will be decorated with a yellow duck theme, and Ngong Ping Village will also feature a giant transparent bathtub filled with yellow ducks. It's a shame I missed it during my visit in early June, but I'll have to go again.
