North Point Oil Street Realization | Grade II historic building with red brick and tile roof

Oil Street Real Estate was originally named the Hong Kong Yacht Club and was established in 1908. Its predecessor was a yacht club located on the seaside. After the North Point reclamation project in the 1930s, it became a dormitory for the Government Materials Supply Department. Later, under the plan of the Art Promotion Office, this Grade II historic building with a red brick and tile roof was restored and officially renamed "Oil Street Realization" in 2013 and opened to the public. It is now also an exhibition and activity center for promoting visual arts, and exhibitions are held here.

The address of Oil Street Realization is No. 12 Oil Street. This name has a deep meaning. It means that this is a starting point, a place where art can be integrated into people's lives. It aims to realize the vision of "Oil Street Realization" and provide artists with a platform and opportunity to showcase and realize their dreams. The English name "Oi!" is a call to action, inviting everyone to join in the creation, and also alludes to the connection between "Oil" and the Chinese name "Youjie".

In addition to admiring the buildings here, you can also enjoy the green environment here. It can be said to be an oasis in the city.
