Six outdoor photo spots to experience European Christmas, outdoor markets and various programs are staged in turn

Discovery Bay Christmas Wonderland held a grand lighting ceremony at Discovery Bay North Plaza on the evening of November 24, marking the beginning of a series of Christmas celebrations. That night, Mr. Cha Moucheng, Executive Chairman of Hong Kong Industrial International Limited, was invited to preside over the lighting ceremony. More than hundreds of guests and the public enjoyed the Christmas parade, singing and dancing performances and romantic snowfall together. The scene was very lively!

To welcome Christmas, Discovery Bay will be filled with Italian-themed Christmas lighting decorations in different corners, offering a variety of unique photo-taking spots, snow and light effects, as well as a series of exciting festive activities, to create a joyful Christmas for you and your loved ones! During December, Discovery Bay will host two “Christmas Sunday Markets” on December 10 and 17, and a charity handicraft market from December 24 to 26. In addition to a variety of Christmas-themed products, there will also be Christmas singing and dancing performances, busking music performances, and everyone will have the opportunity to write a letter to Santa Claus and receive his reply! In addition, the Discovery Bay Ice Rink will also hold a Christmas Ice Spectacular on December 16 and 17, with teachers and students from the Discovery Bay Ice Skating School presenting a wonderful ice show to welcome the arrival of Christmas. Discovery Bay Hotel has also prepared a "Christmas Gathering Accommodation Plan", festive feast and New Year's Eve countdown party, welcoming families and couples to enjoy a relaxing holiday and experience the rich Italian Christmas atmosphere.

DB North Bell Tower transformed into an Italian cathedral, Venice gondola concept Christmas tree

This Christmas, Discovery Bay’s landmark building – Discovery Bay North Clock Tower – is transformed into a 13-metre-high Italian church. The design is inspired by the famous Milan Cathedral, with 10 spire pillars and details of imitating church stained glass, showing the architectural features of the cathedral. In addition, four sets of three-meter-high angel lighting installations turn this exotic place into an Italian town.

In the center of the square, there is a giant six-meter-high Christmas tree, which is made of 12 layers of forged metal. The bottom is in the shape of a Venetian gondola, and the hull is eight meters long, bringing rich and shocking visual effects. The buildings on both sides of the square and the Heart Lock Corridor are decorated with more than a thousand LED bulbs, which add to the romantic atmosphere when lit up at night. Coupled with the snowflake light patterns projected on the ground, the entire Discovery Park North is even more dazzling and colorful, bringing a dreamy check-in experience!

In addition, Discovery Plaza and D'Deck, the seaside open-air dining precinct, can also enjoy the unique Christmas decorations, including a six-meter-high giant Christmas tree and eight sets of two-meter-high angel lighting installations, which are sure to become popular outdoor photo-taking spots.

Christmas outdoor market with over 100 stalls, European town experiences white Christmas

Discovery Plaza will also host a special “Christmas Sunday Open-air Market” on December 10 and 17, bringing together more than 100 stalls selling Christmas specialties, handmade products, clothing and home products. In addition to searching for Christmas gifts, you can also write a letter to Santa Claus and make a wish, and you will receive a reply from him! There will also be an a cappella performance by the band Decibels during the market on December 10th. Come and experience the joyful festive atmosphere.

DB North Plaza will be hosting a “Dreamlike Winter Snow Show” every weekend, allowing you and your family and friends to enjoy the Christmas decorations and check in while feeling the festive romantic atmosphere brought by the falling snow. Partnering with the Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council to host a charity handicraft market with special festival workshops and busking performances

In addition to the rich Christmas programmes, Discovery Bay also actively collaborates with social welfare organisations to provide assistance and care to those in need in the community. This year, Discovery Bay will partner with the Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council to organise a charity handcraft bazaar and busking performances at the indoor arcade of DB Plaza from December 24 to 26. Special Christmas workshops will also be arranged, including the “Christmas Floating Flower Workshop” and “Christmas Transformation Painting”. Everyone is welcome to come and support and make Christmas more meaningful! There will also be Christmas carols on Christmas Eve, bringing joy to every corner.
