This is a small, old temple that was built in 1873. It has the architecture of a traditional Chinese temple and is considered one of the most famous temples in Hong Kong. It is famous for the ritual of borrowing money from Kwun Yam.
According to legend, a road was built to connect Hong Hom, Tsim Sha Tsui, and Kowloon. The hilly area was dug by workers, and red water was flowing out. It was rumored to be the veins of the dragon, so money was donated to restore the temple.
During World War II, it was recorded that the Hong Hom area was heavily bombed twice because the Japanese soldiers wanted to destroy the port. However, no one who took refuge in the temple was harmed, so it is believed that this is the sacredness of Kwun Yam. Who is always there to protect
