A temple that is famous for its sacredness and is one of the oldest temples in Hong Kong. Mu lovers who travel to pray for blessings must not miss this. This place is also popular for performing a ritual to borrow money from Guan Yin.

At "Hong Ham Guan Yin Temple", here are 5 easy steps to properly pray to Guan Yin Hong Ham to increase your luck. 💰

1️⃣ Buy a worship set inside the temple. The price of a small set starts at around 300 baht (cash, Hong Kong dollars only!)

2️⃣ Separate the candles and incense in the worship set first. Place the joss paper and gold paper you get on the large table in the middle.

3️⃣ Light the candles and place them in the candle pots on both sides of the center table. Then light 3 large incense sticks and worship in front of the door, telling the heavens and earth that "My name is... I have arrived at Hong Ham Guan Yin Temple." When you're done, take this large incense and place it in the largest incense pot in the temple. (In the middle of the temple)

4️⃣ Take out a small incense stick, light it in a bundle, then go to the middle of the temple, in front of the 3 incense pots, to ask for a blessing from Guan Yin. Say, “My name is…. I came to ask for a blessing from Guan Yin (ask for anything, but don’t make a vow).” After that, stick 3 incense sticks in each pot, and randomly stick 3 sticks in each pot throughout the hall. Stick the rest in the large incense pot in the middle of the ceremony hall.

5️⃣ Take the joss paper that you offered to Guan Yin and burn it. The ceremony is complete.

🧩 Recommendation: You should come in the morning at 8:00 a.m. There won’t be many people…the queue won’t be long (but you’ll have to wait in line). Be careful when holding the lit incense sticks.
