Kwun Yum Temple, Hung Hom 🙏

🌸 Kwun Yum Temple, Hung Hom 🌸

If you're visiting Hong Kong and want to pray for good fortune, ✨ this is one of the most famous Kwun Yin temples in the Hung Hom district. 🙏 Located in the peaceful area, it boasts a vibrant atmosphere and a huge following of devotees.
📌 According to belief, every year on the Kwun Yum Treasury Opening Day (around the 26th day of the first lunar month of the Chinese calendar), many Kwun Yin temples in Hong Kong, including Kwun Yum Temple in Hung Hom, allow visitors to "borrow money from the goddess" 💰 for good luck and prosperity throughout the year.

💡 How to pray (according to belief)

1. Visit the temple on the day of the Kwun Yum Treasury Opening Day. (It'll be crowded!)
2. Light incense and pay respects to Guan Yin 🙏
3. Receive "Guanyin Money" envelopes (small coins/banknotes given out at the temple).
4. Keep them in your wallet 💵 to enhance your financial luck throughout the year.
5. In the following year, take the borrowed money and make merit (like giving back to the Guan Yin).

👉 Hong Kongers believe that borrowing money from the Guan Yin is a way to "borrow merit" and ensure financial stability. ✨

🚆 Getting there
✔️ Take the MTR to Hung Hom Station, Exit C2, and walk for about 10 minutes. 🚶♂️
✔️ Alternatively, take a taxi. 🚖
