Why this temple?

Because at Wong Tai Sin Temple, there is the God of the Moon, or also known as the Old Man of the Moon, who is the God of love and marriage. Therefore, it is famous for its sacredness in matters of love. You don't have to be single. People who are in a relationship can come and pray for a long-lasting love.

The temple is famous for tying red strings to pray for a soulmate. The preparation of the red string and the method of praying for a soulmate are detailed as follows:

Step 1: Make your hands as shown in the picture. Prepare before praying for a blessing.

Step 2: Stand in the middle, in line with the God of the Moon. Pray for your wish.

Step 3: If the prayer is a woman, walk to the bride statue first and pray to the groom statue. After praying, rub the statue's feet (if the prayer is a man, do the opposite).

Step 4: Tie the red string and you are done praying.
