Located in Central, Kaiyan Donburi Specialty Shop attracts many diners with its sashimi and chef's choice dishes. Online reservations during peak hours require a deposit. We ordered the highly recommended Edo-style Chirashi Sushi (Premium) set (HK$370).

When the meal box was presented, we were immediately stunned by the visual feast before us. Various fresh sashimi, including sea urchin, fish roe, toro, and other fish, were neatly arranged in the meal box, resembling a jewel box of exquisite ingredients. The staff thoughtfully reminded us to start with the fish roe and taste each sashimi clockwise, allowing our taste buds to fully experience the unique flavors of each ingredient.

In terms of ingredients, in addition to the fresh sashimi, there were also aromatic seaweed and creative side dishes that perfectly complemented the sushi rice base, elevating the entire dining experience to another level. Although the price is slightly high, considering the consumption level in Central and the top-quality ingredients and exquisite presentation offered in the set, it is definitely worth the value.

Finally, with a bowl of sweet and delicious miso soup, refreshing salad, and chawanmushi, the entire lunch was exceptionally satisfying.
