How to Get from Hong Kong to Macau: Ferry Options (CotaiJet, TurboJet)

If you're traveling to Hong Kong, I highly recommend also visiting Macau. Taking a ferry from the Hong Kong Macau Ferry Terminal will get you to Macau in about an hour.

It's best to purchase your ferry tickets in advance online and then exchange them for physical tickets at the terminal.

There are two types of ferries from Hong Kong to Macau: CotaiJet and TurboJet.

The CotaiJet ferry, which I took, is the blue ferry and its destination is the Macau Taipa Terminal. This is ideal for those heading to hotels in Macau.

The red TurboJet ferry, on the other hand, goes to the Macau Ferry Terminal. This is perfect for day-trippers as it's close to Senado Square and St. Paul's Cathedral, making it easy to get around.
