Tonight, I went to a restaurant in the basement of Hysan Place for dinner. There were four waitstaff, but they were slow at clearing tables, seating guests, and taking orders, making them seem a bit overwhelmed.
🌱 Hokkaido Scallop and Kale Salad
The scallops and avocado were tender, the kale wasn't too tough, the garlic bread crumbs were slightly crispy, and the walnuts were fragrant. It's rare for a restaurant to use yuzu yogurt dressing for a salad, which was a pleasant surprise. Initially, I thought it was a lemon flavor, but later realized it was lactic acid.
🌱 Diced Sashimi Don
The sashimi don included salmon, yellowtail, tuna, and herring. The herring had a tougher texture, which was a bit odd🤪; the salmon roe was quite salty, and the mentaiko was less salty. Fortunately, when eaten with rice, the taste wasn't too salty, and the rice was quite sticky.
🌱 Soft Shell Crab Sushi Taco and Green Onion Toro Avocado Sushi Taco
Both tacos were delicious but a bit greasy. A commendable feature was the paper card provided with the tacos, making it convenient and hygienic for diners to hold while eating.
🌱 Crispy Fried Single Bone Chicken Wings
Lately, I've been eating single bone chicken wings, and they all seem average. These were quite burnt and very dry.
🌱 Yuzu Sake Tiramisu Box
Couldn't taste the yuzu.
The lemon tea was bitter, and the coffee was normal.
