Impressive Seafood Selection

The seafood selection is impressive. Undeniably, when a large group of people plans to dine together, a buffet is the best choice. There's no need to worry about individual tastes or wait around; you can eat while waiting, which is ideal.
Today's choice by my friend was the L'hotel Causeway Bay Harbour View. I've never been there before, so I was interested in checking it out.
According to my friend, the hotel is not easy to find. However, you just need to exit at Fortress Hill Station Exit B, go up the footbridge, and follow the signs.
The hotel is full of Instagram-worthy spots, making it easy to take photos and get likes.
The restaurant is currently featuring a crab and abalone seafood theme. Walking around, you can see seafood everywhere. Cold seafood is a given, with snow crab legs, chilled shrimp, mussels, and jade whelks all present.
The most popular item among Hongkongers is undoubtedly the oysters. You can take three at a time. When I was younger, I would make several rounds to eat a dozen, but nowadays, three are enough, and I need to save room for other delicacies!
There are several types of cold cuts, seafood salads, and Thai-style boneless chicken feet to serve as interludes. A pleasant surprise was the bamboo shoots, which my friend kept going back for.
The hot food selection here is more abundant than I expected. Western dishes like king crab mac and cheese and creamy carbonara abalone are rare finds, showing the chef's effort.
The Chinese-style steamed fish was done very well, with tender meat and constant replenishment, so you won't be left with just fish bones and heads if you're a bit slow.
Goose feet and shrimp roe pomelo skin are rare finds at a buffet. The shrimp roe pomelo skin, in particular, was a first for me at a buffet table, and it was of high quality. Make sure to try it.
The buffet staples of roast beef and lamb racks are here, along with char siu, so you can enjoy both Chinese and Western flavors.
The barbecue items include beef skewers, large shrimp, chicken wings, and our favorite grilled pineapple. The sweetness released from the grilled pineapple is incredibly enticing.
Friends who enjoy congee, noodles, and rice won't be disappointed either, as there's abalone seafood congee, which is quite substantial.
I usually skip the sashimi and sushi section, but seeing how fresh it looked, I grabbed a plate to share with everyone. I'm glad I didn't miss out.
I almost forgot, each person gets a serving of abalone sashimi to stick to the theme.
But speaking of sticking to the theme, it's not over yet, as each person also gets a serving of Japanese-style crab roe fried rice. It's very fragrant, and the crab roe is abundant. Even though I knew it was indulgent, I couldn't stop eating.
The cheese selection includes both soft and hard cheeses, as well as the strong-flavored blue cheese. A few slices are enough before moving on to desserts.
The dessert selection isn't particularly strong, but they do have egg tarts, and they're Hong Kong-style egg tarts, not Portuguese ones, which is nice.
The quality of the cakes was surprisingly good. The blueberry cheesecake and chestnut cake are must-tries. For those with a sweet tooth, you can also try the matcha cake, pandan cake, and even the Napoleon cake.
Finally, you have to have a cup of ice cream, as they use my favorite Movenpick. There are five flavors, including the relatively rare coconut flavor, which shows their sincerity.
Coffee and lemon tea are self-serve. If you're worried about not being able to sleep after drinking them at night, you can opt for some juice. If you're a wine lover, you definitely shouldn't miss out, as both red and white wines are available for unlimited refills.
