When it comes to heritage museums, you might be more familiar with the recently opened Old Officials' Museum. But Hong Kong's largest museum is actually here. 🎀 Open since 2000, the Heritage Museum is located beside the Shing Mun River in Sha Tin. 🌳 The walk from Sha Tin Station is a breathtakingly different atmosphere from the bustling city. From a distance, you can already see the museum, looming among the trees – it's enormous!
The Heritage Museum features exhibitions on Hong Kong's ancient history, encompassing art, music, books, and more. News reports have also surfaced that the Heritage Museum will be closed, with the Hong Kong Science Museum relocating there. So, I wanted to visit before the changes took place. 🥹
In early November, I happened to see the Hong Kong Fashion Exhibition of 1960, featuring toys, music, costumes, films, and more. There were also many other concurrent exhibitions. Parents will love it. 🥰 I highly recommend a half-day trip to Sha Tin!
