Built in 1972, Western Monastery is situated with its back to Tai Mo Shan and facing Sam Dip Tam, surrounded by flowing streams and beautiful natural scenery. It is one of the temples in Tsuen Wan and also a Buddhist organization. The monastery underwent expansion in early 1999, making it small yet exquisite. Its landmark nine-story pagoda and the ever-changing Guanyin statue are rare sights to behold. Visitors can freely enter and explore without prior registration. Located in Lo Wai Village, one of the oldest villages in Tsuen Wan, it is about a 10-minute ride by minibus. Definitely worth a visit.
