3-Day Hong Kong Travel Guide for a Long Weekend

🗺️🗺️ 【Travel Plan】This trip is planned to visit 5 temples
• Guanyin Goddess at Repulse Bay
• Che Kung Temple |
• Kwan Tai Temple |
• Hong Hum Temple (Guanyin Goddess of Borrowed Money) |
• Kwong-Fook-I-Tsz (Red Thread Temple of Hong Kong), also called Ji Gong Temple

Day 1:
- Flight departs around 2 AM, arriving in Hong Kong around 5 to almost 6 AM. Feeling groggy, I went through immigration smoothly, then headed straight to the counter to buy a temporary Octopus card with a 50 HKD deposit. After that, I opened Google to find the hotel Eco Tree Causeway Bay, walked to the stop as Google directed, and after dropping off my luggage, I took the tram and then a bus to pay respects to the Guanyin Goddess at Repulse Bay.

After praying, I took the bus back to visit Ji Gong Temple, the Red Thread Temple of Hong Kong. After finishing there, I walked to 2 Cafe to buy a Pineapple Bun as a snack before continuing to eat roast goose at Yat Lok, then returned to the hotel to rest a bit before going out for shopping and having shaved ice at Shari Shari.

Day 2:
- Started by walking to have breakfast in the North Point area at a traditional Hong Kong tofu shop. Before heading back, I stopped to buy Hong Kong soy sauce to eat with fried pork. Then I dropped off my things at the hotel and was ready to explore the 3 temples.

I used Google to find the farthest temple, Che Kung Temple, then traveled to Kwan Tai Temple. But first, I stopped to eat roast pork and roast suckling pig in Sham Shui Po to satisfy my hunger. Then I continued to the last temple, Hong Hum Temple (Guanyin Goddess of Borrowed Money), and ended the day with dim sum in Jordan at Dim Dim Sum and shaved ice at Shari Shari in Tsim Sha Tsui.

Day 3:
- Since I’m in Hong Kong, I started the day with roast pork rice at Ki’s Roasted Goose 😅. The food here is quite delicious, and I even met a kind Hong Kong uncle who treated me to a drink. Today was focused on leisurely walking before heading to the airport.

📣📣 [Tips] #TravelHongKong #WhatToEatInHongKong #WhereToGoInHongKong #WhyHongKongIsGreat #TravelPlan

Transportation in Hong Kong is greatly helped by Google, which provides travel methods and bus waiting times quite accurately, though there may be slight deviations.

As for the subway or MTR, first-timers might be a bit confused because there are many lines, but an easy trick is to focus on the colors and symbols when traveling. No need to memorize because you’ll forget!!
