🙏🏻 Praying to the Goddess of Mercy at Repulse Bay
If you are looking for a sacred place to make wishes and enhance good fortune in your life, the Goddess of Mercy Temple at Repulse Bay is a destination you shouldn’t miss! This place is popular among Hong Kong locals and tourists from around the world who come to worship the Goddess of Mercy in the blessing pose, believed to be sacred and able to grant wishes on all matters, whether it’s health, work, love, or luck.
Besides the Goddess of Mercy, this area also has the God of Wealth, Cai Shen Ye, and the Laughing Buddha Bodhisattva, who grants children and happiness, for you to pay respects and ask for blessings for good fortune.
⏰ The Best Time to Pray to the Goddess of Mercy ⏰
The best time is in the morning, especially between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM, as this is when the energy is pure and auspicious. Additionally, Chinese holy days or major Buddhist holidays are considered good days to pray and make wishes, including the 19th day of the 2nd month in the Chinese calendar, which is the birthday of the Goddess of Mercy.
If you can’t pray in the morning, praying before noon is still a good time because the energy remains pure and helps calm the mind before starting the day.
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 How to Pray Properly 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
To pray correctly to the Goddess of Mercy at Repulse Bay, there are important steps to know:
1. Enter the temple with your left foot and exit with your right foot to enhance good fortune.
2. Rub the pearl in the lion’s mouth to attract luck.
3. Stand in front of the Goddess of Mercy statue, calm your mind, and make one important wish.
4. Rub the beard of the God of Wealth, Cai Shen Ye, then keep the banknote you rubbed in your wallet to boost your luck.
5. Pray to the Laughing Buddha if you wish for children or abundance.
🚕🚕🚕 How to Get There 🚕🚕🚕
