During the Buddha's Birthday holiday, #WifeAndHusband took the MTR to visit #KaiTak Station.
On the way to #KaiTakSportsPark, we bought the base #DoubleSkinMilkEggWaffle at THE CAPTAIN'S FISH & CHIP BAR in AIRSIDE (trial price $38).
After about 10 minutes, the freshly made Double Skin Milk Egg Waffle was ready. Wife and Husband thought it tasted better than the pineapple bun egg waffle they had earlier. The outside was crispy, and the inside was filled with double skin milk custard, rich in both egg and milk aroma.
We ate while walking towards Kai Tak Sports Park.
#KaiTakRetailPavilion has many shops decorated with themes and products related to the old Kai Tak Airport. Besides UNIQLO, there is also the Commercial Press.
At N+ BURGER, photos of the old Kai Tak Airport hang on the wall, and other decorations in the restaurant also incorporate airport elements.
We ordered the N+ Classic Burger ($68) plus $40 to upgrade to a set with fries and a soft drink. The set drink options included not only regular soda but also sparkling lemon water priced at $36, which was just what Wife and Husband wanted. Remember to stir the sparkling lemon water before drinking; it tastes excellent.
N+ BURGER is Hong Kong’s first burger shop with its own Australian farm. The beef is directly sourced from Australian farms, and the bread is made with Bakehouse’s sourdough, showing great attention to ingredients. It was our first time trying N+ BURGER’s burgers, and Wife and Husband were both satisfied.
Outside the Kai Tak Main Arena, the exterior wall is made up of 27,000 triangular aluminum panels that reflect various colors like purple, blue, or silver-white depending on the light.
Afterwards, we went to SOGO Kai Tak store, where several lucky cats greeted us at the entrance.
We had dinner at New Thai Southeast Asian Restaurant on the 14th floor and recommend the mango sticky rice.
