This playful Japanese donburi restaurant has opened a branch on Hou Fuk Street in Tsim Sha Tsui. You can customize your donburi starting at just $68, and there’s no extra charge during weekday lunch hours, offering great value for money.
▪️ Custom Donburi $82/5 toppings
Choose freely from over 30 ingredients. The cheapest option at $68 lets you pick four toppings, plus you can select the rice base, searing, and sauce, giving you great flexibility! Some toppings require an extra charge. I ordered seared salmon, red shrimp, toro tartare, salmon tartare, and salmon roe for under $100.
▪️ Crab Lover’s Donburi $138
This bowl includes crab claws, crab meat, crab roe, crab eggs, and crab sticks—truly packed with crab! Each ingredient is served in generous portions. When served, the bowl is covered with a whole crab shell, making for a unique presentation. You can choose your sauce; I went with sea urchin sauce, which made the overall flavor very fresh and rich.
▪️ Caramelized Salmon Roll $68
The flaming effect is perfect for photos! The caramelized surface of the salmon is crispy and delicious. The roll contains tamago, crab sticks, and cucumber, and with the addition of salmon roe, each bite offers a rich texture.
▪️ Creamy Crab Cake $28
The outer layer is crispy and fried to perfection, while the filling is full and creamy with a smooth cream sauce.
