Take a stroll through 2 of the chicest café neighborhoods in Hong Kong – Mong Kok & Kennedy Town
If you’re planning a trip to Hong Kong but don’t want to travel like a typical tourist, try spending some time walking around these two neighborhoods. We guarantee beautiful photos, cute cafés, and a truly local Hong Kong vibe.
📍 Mong Kok – The youth district, packed with food and great photo spots
Mong Kok is a neighborhood that never sleeps, always bustling with people all day long. It has markets, pedestrian streets, small cafés hidden in old buildings, and rooftop bars with city views. There are tons of photo spots, especially coffee shops located on upper floors—you have to take the elevator up to find them, giving off a very “insider” vibe.
☕ Recommended cafés:
	•	Knockbox Coffee Company – Great coffee with a cool slow bar
	•	Kubrick Cafe – Located inside a bookstore, an intellectual vibe with beautiful photo opportunities
🚇 Easy to get there: MTR Mong Kok / Mong Kok East
🌊 Kennedy Town – Seaside, great cafés, chill views
Kennedy Town is a laid-back neighborhood on the west side of Hong Kong, right by the sea. It has a completely different vibe from Mong Kok—peaceful, perfect for a seaside stroll. There are lots of cafés, all beautifully decorated.
☕ Recommended cafés:
	•	Winstons Coffee – A cool café offering both coffee and cocktails
	•	Blend & Grind – Great coffee, delicious pastries, and plenty of photo spots
🌅 Taking a walk around Sai Wan Swimming Shed in the evening offers stunning sunsets. You can capture amazing silhouette shots for sure.
