The Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery is a beautiful and ancient temple built in 1950 on a hill in Hong Kong’s Sha Tin district. Inside the temple, there are no fewer than ten thousand Buddha statues. The stairway leading up to the temple has over 400 steps, lined with many golden Buddha statues in various postures along the way. At the top, you will find a large statue of the Goddess of Mercy with a thousand arms. Amulets are also sold here.
It is considered one of the largest and most beautiful temples in Hong Kong.
Getting there is convenient; you can take the MTR to Sha Tin Station, exit B.
🏖️ Environment/Facilities: Free admission
The atmosphere is very nice, surrounded by mountains and nature.
