Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery

#HongKongInDepthTour
Located in Sha Tin, the Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery is a deep travel destination that combines religious faith, artistic aesthetics, and natural scenery. Visitors must climb over 400 steps to reach the main hall, along which hundreds of golden Buddha statues with various postures and expressions are lined up, each symbolizing the boundlessness of Buddhism and the diversity of all beings. Although it is not an official Buddhist temple (there is no abbot or monks), its architecture and atmosphere are very solemn. Inside the main hall is a seated statue of the monastery’s founder, Master Yuet Kai, a rare religious heritage in Hong Kong. Behind the monastery is a nine-story pagoda and a viewpoint overlooking Sha Tin city, perfect for meditation and photography. The uniqueness of the Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery lies in its combination of physical effort and spiritual practice, making it a truly “body and mind cultivation” deep journey. Visiting this place is not just about taking photos but also a cleansing and reflection of the inner self.
