Tin Hau and Kwun Yum Statues.

📍Location: Repulse Bay, Hong Kong
🕰️Opening hours: 08:00-17:30
The Tin Hau and Kwun Yum Statues at Repulse Bay are another sacred place where many visitors to Hong Kong come to pay respects for good fortune and to make wishes. Besides the statue of Kwun Yum, this place also houses several deities such as the Goddess of the Sea (Tin Hau), the Laughing Buddha (Budai), and the God of Wealth (Cai Shen). It is said that you can pray here for all kinds of blessings, whether it be luck, longevity, or love. However, the most popular prayer is to ask the Laughing Buddha for children. Locals say to rub his belly while making a wish: rub the right side if you want a boy, and the left side if you want a girl.
🗓️Travel plan: Take the MTR to Central Station, Exit A, then go to Exchange Square. From there, take bus numbers 6, 6A, 6X, or 260 and get off at the Repulse Bay Beach stop. The bus ride takes about 45 minutes, followed by a 10-minute walk along the beach.
