Yudu Pingshan Ranch is located in Jingshi Township, in the southern part of Yudu County, Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province. According to the county annals, "Pingkeng Mountain, formerly known as Longshan, lies between Jingshi and Licun Townships and Pangushan Town. At 1,312 meters above sea level, it is the highest peak in the county. Running southeast to northwest, its foothills stretch for over a hundred miles, formed entirely of layers of rock. The mountain is as high as a screen, crisscrossed with gullies and ravines, and home to exotic birds and beasts." This brief description is enough to convey its grandeur and wonder.
Pingshan's hillsides are shrouded in vast, winding primeval forests, while its summit boasts lush, rolling natural grasslands. Experts estimate that below 900 meters above sea level, Pingshan offers the scenery of Jiuzhaigou, while above 900 meters, it resembles the grasslands of northern China. The 50,000 mu of grassland at the summit seamlessly blends the majestic alpine beauty of the south with the grasslands of the north, making it a highly desirable location for tourism development.
Pingshan Pasture has the highest peak of Yudu shrouded in clouds and mist all day long, vast natural alpine grasslands, extremely rare natural bonsai tree belts, broken walls of the Hexi Corridor, well-preserved virgin forests, majestic waterfalls, majestic and handsome gourd-shaped peaks, lifelike stone sculptures of crocodile mouths, the Jinlian Mountain Temple that resembles Mao Zedong's ancestral tomb at Huxieping, and the alpine grassland scenery full of magical colors and ancient legends such as immortals playing chess, yellow dog drilling holes, immortal springs, and watching the sea of clouds, the sunrise, flying through the clouds and mist, and the wind vents, as well as snow scenes rarely seen in the south.
