Hong Kong Free Attraction: Step into 1881.

1881 is a revitalized historical building in Hong Kong, showcasing Victorian architectural style that is both classical and elegant. Originally the Marine Police Headquarters, its foundation was laid in 1881 and completed in 1884. The complex includes the main building, stables, the time ball tower, Kowloon Fire Station, and firemen's quarters. Beyond its beautiful exterior, it is rich in history. Visitors are encouraged to step inside and explore its historical significance, including a small exhibition. On the lower level, there is an air-raid shelter that was rediscovered during excavation—making it the first air-raid shelter in Hong Kong open for public viewing. It's truly fascinating!
