Long Valley Nature Park is Hong Kong's newest wetland conservation facility, located between Sheung Shui's Shuangyu River and Shek Sheung River. The park combines wetland conservation, farming activities, and nature education, featuring a rich and diverse ecological environment including wet farmland, dry farmland, marshes, and ponds. It provides habitat for over 320 bird species, including 14 internationally endangered species such as the Black-faced Spoonbill and the Yellow-breasted Bunting. The park offers boardwalks, bird hides, and guided tours, allowing visitors to observe the wetland ecology up close. For transportation, you can take minibus 51B or bus 76K from Sheung Shui MTR station, then walk about 250 meters to reach the park. This is an excellent spot for nature lovers and photographers, showcasing the significant achievements of Hong Kong's ecological conservation.
