🔸 Many people prefer to borrow money from the Goddess of Mercy at Hung Hom for #large sums, such as money for closing deals, proceeds from land sales, prizes, or any other source of a large amount of money.

🔸 #Borrowing means you must #repay. Once your wish is fulfilled, you should return to the temple to perform the repayment ceremony to the Goddess of Mercy at Hung Hom.

🔸 #TheAnnualTreasuryOpeningDay or #WealthOpeningDay happens only once a year. The ceremony is held 26 days after the Chiu Yik Festival or Chinese New Year, calculated according to the Chinese lunar calendar. This is considered an auspicious day, so the temple’s treasury opening day varies each year.

🔸 The red envelope used in the ceremony does not necessarily have to be kept only in your wallet. You may place it on the altar, on a tray on the shrine table, in a safe, or anywhere suitable for worship and remembrance.
