Just got back from a 6-day, 5-night Disney Fantasy cruise from Orlando, and I have so much to share! The whole family had a blast, but we also hit a few minor bumps🤣 This post is for first-timers on a Disney cruise, packed with solid tips👇

👉 You can check in online, choose boarding time, and dinner seating 30 days in advance.
We snagged a 10:30 AM boarding time, no lines, and just made it for lunch and afternoon tea!

👑 Must-know for kids who want to dress up!
Photo ops with Mickey, princess costumes, character interactions can be booked 75 days ahead. Popular time slots fill up fast, so set reminders!

🎁 Door magnets + Pixie Dust gifts
Many cabin doors are decorated. We brought homemade badges, and the kids quickly made friends exchanging little items—such a warm atmosphere❤️

🛳️ Boarding process is simple but orderly
We boarded at Port Canaveral, here’s the process:
1️⃣ Luggage drop-off
2️⃣ Scan QR code for check-in
3️⃣ Security check
4️⃣ Boarding
🎉 There’s a Mickey welcome ceremony on board, very ceremonial—definitely take photos📸

⚠️ Checked luggage arrives in cabins by evening, so pack swimsuits and chargers in your carry-on!

🌐 Wi-Fi experience (honest review)
Wi-Fi on board isn’t cheap, about $24 USD/day per device. You can barely browse on your phone, don’t expect to binge-watch shows😂 Best to use it sparingly during key moments and just relax on vacation~

🎭 Don’t miss these exciting activities!
🍽️ Dinner is recommended at 5:45 PM first seating, so you can catch the theater show right after!

🎬 We watched the live musicals “Aladdin” and “Frozen,” absolutely stunning. The kids were glued to their seats, and the whole family applauded👏 Remember to line up 30 minutes early for good seats!

🏴☠️ Pirate Night is definitely the most electrifying atmosphere!
Everyone dresses as pirates, and the deck party ends with fireworks🎆 My parents even danced along—so adorable haha~

📍 A few personally tested tips:
✅ No toothbrush or toothpaste in the room, bring your own
✅ Bottled water on board costs extra, best to bring your own water bottle
✅ US standard three-prong plug is a must, outlets are limited~
✅ Kids can play all day in the Kids Club, adults can truly relax and unwind☀️
