Today, I enjoyed a sumptuous lunch at Tai Kung Koon in D2 Place, Lai Chi Kok. The dim sum selection was very diverse, leaving me quite satisfied. Here are my reviews of several dishes:
1. **Porcupine Char Siu Bun**
- **Texture**: The bun skin is soft, and the char siu filling is juicy with a perfect balance of sweet and savory, making it a must-try. This classic dim sum always leaves a lasting impression and suits all kinds of diners.
2. **Goldfish Shrimp Dumplings**
- **Appearance**: Cute shape, resembling little goldfish, adding fun to the dining experience. The shrimp is fresh and tender, the dumpling skin thin and translucent, bursting with flavor with every bite, making you want to order more baskets.
3. **Golden Pan-fried Lotus Root Cake**
- **Texture**: Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, with a strong fragrant lotus root flavor that keeps you coming back for more. Paired with the sauce, it enhances the taste, making it a perfect snack and a delightful surprise.
4. **Piggy Salty Water Dumplings**
- **Appearance**: Adorably shaped like little piglets, very eye-catching. The outer skin is crispy, the filling rich and flavorful, offering a complex texture and a highlight of the lunch.
5. **Black Sesame Roll**
- **Dessert**: Rich black sesame flavor with a smooth texture that leaves you satisfied. This dessert perfectly rounds off the meal, especially suitable for sesame lovers.
### Summary
Overall, today’s lunch at Tai Kung Koon was not only diverse in variety but also full of color, aroma, and taste, leaving me very satisfied. Whether for family gatherings or meeting friends, this place offers delicious Chinese dim sum worth visiting again and again!
