A historic Hong Kong-style steakhouse in Cheung Sha Wan

On a night just after the black rain, there were only two or three tables occupied inside the restaurant, giving off a somewhat quiet atmosphere. Ordered a wok-fried beef tenderloin and a sirloin steak; both steaks had pretty good meat quality, without much of the frozen taste or tenderizer powder weirdness. Of course, it’s not comparable to high-end steakhouses, but at this price, it’s really a great deal! One bowl each of red soup and white soup, with the white soup topped with puff pastry. The red soup had a strong tomato and beef flavor, with excellent shredded beef; the white soup had some carrot pieces and tasted quite good. Thought the potato side was fries, but it turned out to be diced potatoes, fried crispy on the outside and soft inside, and the black pepper sauce was truly top-notch! All the mixed vegetables were stir-fried with garlic, and the iron plate side dishes were prepared with great care, not sloppy at all. The drink was an extra-large cup of iced lemon tea, refreshing and appetizing, and they even served a cup of jelly dessert, making for a perfect ending!
In summary, a beef tenderloin set costs $168, with such a large portion that you can’t finish it all. If the portion was reduced by one-third and the price lowered by one-third, it would feel even more worth it!
