🏨 Island Shangri-La – Hongkong

Island Shangri-La is like stepping into a palace. Located in Admiralty, Pacific Place, it’s directly linked to luxury shopping and the MTR, making it convenient for both business and leisure.

📍 Location & Arrival

The entrance is grand — chandeliers, towering flower arrangements, and classical music playing softly in the background. Staff greeted me warmly and escorted me directly to the room, handling paperwork on the way (a very Shangri-La touch).

🛏️ Room Experience

I booked a Horizon Harbour View Room (USD 600–700 per night). The décor is elegant — silk wallpaper, chandeliers, and marble bathrooms. The highlight is the stunning view of Victoria Harbour, best enjoyed with binoculars they thoughtfully provided in the room.

The bed was plush, and turndown service included slippers laid neatly by the bed and a pot of chamomile tea waiting.

🍽️ Dining & Food
• Petrus (Michelin-starred French) – easily one of the best fine-dining meals I’ve had in Hong Kong. The wine pairings were exceptional.
• Summer Palace (Michelin-starred Cantonese) – traditional yet elevated dim sum experience.
• The breakfast buffet was massive, with everything from dim sum and noodles to fresh pastries and omelets.

💆 Facilities & Service

The outdoor pool was a beautiful escape, surrounded by greenery despite being in the middle of the city. The Chi Spa offered traditional Asian therapies, and the fitness center was top-notch.

Service was polished — staff helped with restaurant bookings, taxis, and even gave me a small good-luck charm on departure.
