Royal Caribbean Spectrum of the Seas|Essential Packing List and Tips

1️⃣ Required Documents for Boarding
Printed boarding pass, luggage tags, passport and a copy of it

2️⃣ Daily Essentials
1. Toothbrush, toothpaste, shower cap, slippers (not provided on the ship); disposable face towels, shower gel, etc., need to be brought along as the 2-in-1 provided on the ship is quite basic. I also brought chlorine-free shower gel for the kids. I even packed a set of four bedding items, but they were unnecessary as the bed linens are clean and replaced daily.
2. I brought six bottles of mineral water, but the room already provides four bottles, and I ended up with four bottles left over. However, as a fan of oolong tea, I drank all four bottles of unsweetened oolong tea I brought, storing them in the fridge as soon as I boarded. Additionally, I brought two bottles of cola and milk for the kids. ⚠️ Remember not to bring too much water, as you might have to discard it later. You can buy water on disembarkation day, and the ship also has places to refill water, which tastes no different to me 😂.
3. Showerhead with filter; make sure to buy one with an international 4-point interface‼️
4. Magnetic hooks + clothesline with clips (see image 8)
5. Pen 🖊️ (needed for filling out forms on disembarkation day; if you don’t bring one, you’ll have to borrow)
6. Essential medicines: fever reducers, seasickness pills, montmorillonite powder, acute enteritis medicine, cough medicine, Huoxiang Zhengqi liquid, vitamin D (for kids), band-aids
7. Power bank, chargers, sun umbrella, sun hat/straw hat, sunglasses, aloe vera gel, sunscreen, sanitary pads (for emergencies), neck lanyard cardholder (for room cards)
8. Disposable food bags: Food from the ship’s restaurants can be taken back to your room, especially useful on disembarkation day when you need to wake up early. You can pack food to eat later on the go.

3️⃣ WiFi
If you have an Android device, you can buy one WiFi device to share among everyone. However, since our family uses Apple devices, we bought three WiFi devices, which turned out to be more cost-effective.

4️⃣ Japanese yen, US dollars, credit card

⚠️ Tips
1. After purchasing tickets, make sure to check the "Pre-Cruise Booking" section for discounts on WiFi, entertainment, and dining. If you’re not satisfied with your room type, you can participate in "Room Bidding" for a potential upgrade surprise!
2. If the dining time doesn’t suit you, you can go to the main dining room before 12 PM to switch to "My Time" dining, allowing you to adjust the schedule to your preference.
3. Don’t miss the sunset at sea! It’s a must-see, so check the sunset time in advance.
