There's a new Korean bento place behind Grandview Plaza that primarily serves takeout. There are two seats inside, but it can be quite crowded, so takeout is recommended. They offer main dishes like fried vermicelli, udon, and rice, priced around $40-60. They also have Korean snacks!
🍝 Korean Beef Vermicelli Stir-fry $45
The vermicelli is enough for one person and comes with toppings like baby cabbage, black fungus, and shredded radish. It also comes with mixed salad and a soft-boiled egg. The owner says the salad is freshly marinated every morning, so it's slightly spicy.
🍚 Eel Egg Rice Bowl $60
Although it's a Korean bento place, they also offer Japanese dishes to cater to the diverse tastes of Hong Kong people. The rice portion is about one bowl, which might not be enough for men. The eel is torched, and the scrambled eggs are moist, making it a great pairing with rice.
🦑 Stir-fried Octopus with Sweet and Spicy Sauce $35
The stir-fried octopus is quite spicy, with green melon and vegetables. I personally recommend pairing it with white rice.
🫓Seafood Pancake $35
The seafood pancake has kimchi in it, so it's a bit spicy. The seafood is mainly shrimp and squid, and it's served with a homemade spicy sauce, which adds a touch of spiciness.
🧋Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea $20
I didn't expect they had pearl milk tea here. The pearls were perfectly chewy and soft, and the flavor was delicious. The cups are generous. Milk tea is perfect for Korean food to cool down the spiciness!
