The ultimate seafood hot pot buffet

When #Qianhai Seafood opened, I had already noticed #Waffle and Shrimp Cake, and recently it's become very popular. A quick check revealed it now has three branches.
I visited the Tsuen Wan branch of #Waffle and Shrimp Cake, which has a large lucky cat at the entrance.
The restaurant's decor is bright and airy. I was seated in a more secluded spot with less foot traffic. Two hours seemed a bit rushed, so I booked a 2-hour and 45-minute time slot. The price is HK$388 per adult on Sunday evenings.
Qianhai Seafood's biggest selling point is its #freshlycaught seafood.
I recommend the live shrimp and crab, as well as abalone.
I don't recommend the small razor clams; it's hard to tell if they have sand or broken shells.
Waffle wanted a coconut chicken hot pot, and Shrimp Cake wanted a lobster head hot pot, so we added HK$48 for a half-and-half pot. Both were quite good.
There's a wide selection of drinks. I prefer tea, so I chose white peach oolong tea and duck-shit lemon tea.
The self-service area had a wide variety of vegetables, all appearing very fresh and clean. Some, like purple amaranth, purple kale, and mustard greens, are unusual for hot pot buffets.
The QR code ordering system also had plenty of options. I tried one of each: sizzling foie gras toast, salt-grilled beef tongue, roasted pigeon, and roasted herb-stuffed lamb saddle. I highly recommend the foie gras toast; the foie gras was large and thick, and the toast was crispy.
A must-try is the grilled oysters.
The oysters for the hot pot were a pleasant surprise—large, plump, and definitely not fishy.
Beef is a must-have for hot pot; there were three types, all quite good.
Finally, I had waffles and shrimp cakes, along with my favorite watercress, pea shoots, and water lilies—all delicious.
For dessert, they even had a Japanese version of Häagen-Dazs crispy chocolate matcha ice cream. It had a thin layer of crispy chocolate on top, with a molten chocolate filling in the middle. The chocolate flavor was strong, but slightly overpowering the matcha flavor.
