[Kiss the monkey 🐒 relaxing tour] #Shing Mun Reservoir

Zhe Zhe, who loves small animals, started to be interested in monkeys after reading a drawing book about monkeys🐒! Seeing that Easter is coming soon, and the weather is not too hot, my father decided to take Chet Cheet to get close to nature and go to Shing Mun Reservoir to find monkeys! But because Lazy Mom’s belly is 8 months old, Dad chose a very relaxed route.
Our whole trip including rest took about 3 hours round trip, walking from the visitor center to attraction 5, then return trip, in which we sat down to rest twice for lunch and snacks. 2 and a half year old Zhe Zhe is very good this time, 90% of the time walking by himself, but I insisted on dragging him, because there is not much fence near the reservoir, afraid of accidentally dropping. But Zhe Zhe was too excited to ask, "What about the monkey 🐒? What about the monkey 🐒?", and I asked him to pay more attention to the environment and trees around him to have a chance to see him! The monkeys at Ocean Park are different this time. They are really jumping up and down in the trees!
✴️Easy route recommended by Lazy Mom✴️:
First, go to Exit B of Tsuen Wan MTR Station, walk to the junction of Siu Ho Street and Tsing On Street, take green minibus No. 82, or taxi (fare about HKD70) to Shing Mun Country Park Visitor Center (attraction 1).
Attractions 1. Shing Mun Country Park Visitor Center
Attraction 2. Butterfly Garden
Attraction 3. Shing Mun Reservoir flooded with white millet
Attraction 4. Ayutthaya Stone
Attraction 5. Semi-idle pavilion
Lazy Mom skipped the butterfly garden (attraction 2), walked directly from attraction 1 to Shing Mun Reservoir flooded white millet (attraction 3), Zhe Zhe walked by himself, it took about 30-45 minutes, then sat down to eat lunch, rest for about 30 minutes, then walked to the big city stone space (attraction 4). It took about 30 minutes, by the way to the washroom, then down the slope to the half-idle pavilion grass and rest, walked about 10-15 minutes, rested 20 minutes, then directly from (attraction 5) walk back to (attraction 1) on the minibus, return walk about 50-60 minutes.
At first get off the bus then go up the stairs, probably up the stairs for about 10 minutes, then mostly a relatively flat concrete road with lots of chairs for rest along the way.
💖Attraction 3: Shing Mun Reservoir flooded white thousand layers
It turns out that Shing Mun Reservoir has many white millet trees from Australia. They are not easy to burn, so they can reduce the spread of wildfires! It also likes to grow in swamps, has a strong vitality, and is not easily damaged by water. We didn't see the phenomenon of flooded white millet that day, but the exposed roots of millet are very characteristic, great for taking pictures!
💖Attraction 4: Ayutthaya Stone
Walking from attraction 3 to attraction 4 on the way, started to see the little monkey, Zhe Zhe first meeting, very excited! We had a great time that day, and in addition to the monkeys, we also saw two cows.
💖Attraction 5: Semi-idle pavilion
When you walk inside, there will be a large grassland, and many monkeys gathered there. A monkey snatching bananas from visitors was staged at the scene! We went over to the other side of the stone to sit, no monkeys, and some fallen big tree photo spots.
💖Warm reminder from Lazy Mom💖:
*When you go on your way, remember that there is a reservoir on the right hand side so you can't go wrong!
*Before taking out food, check to see if there are any monkeys nearby.
