Embarking on My Smangus Cherry Blossom Journey

This spring, I planned a special trip to Smangus in Jianshi Township, Hsinchu, to admire the cherry blossoms. The winding mountain roads made the journey a bit challenging, but as I entered the village and saw the hills covered in pink and pale white cherry blossoms, it was all worth it. Unlike the bustling cherry blossoms in the city, these flowers bloom quietly amidst the misty mountain forests, creating a serene and sacred atmosphere. The morning mountain mist paired with the blooming cherry blossoms felt like stepping into a paradise on earth. In the village, I enjoyed indigenous-style cuisine and chatted with the locals, experiencing their warmth and rich cultural heritage. At night, I stayed in a simple guesthouse, falling asleep to the sound of chirping insects, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city, allowing my soul to find peace. Smangus is not just a great place for cherry blossom viewing but also a profound spiritual journey.
