Phra Mahathat Chedi Phakdi Prakat

Phra Maha That Chedi Phakdi Prakat, Wat Tang Sai, Prachuap Khiri Khan
A beautiful temple by the sea, Phra Maha That Chedi Phakdi Prakat or Phra Maha Chedi Kao Yot, a three-storey prang with four-sided prang, can be seen from afar on top of Pak Thong Chai mountain. It is a beautiful viewpoint where you can see Ban Krut Beach.
Built in the Thai architectural style of the Rattanakosin period, this bell-shaped pagoda is situated on a square base with a five-storey building, which represents the 50th anniversary of the reign or the five aggregates. There are also nine pagodas, which represent the temples of King Rama IX.
At the entrance to the pagoda is Phra Phutthakitsirichai, a large Buddha statue in the Gandhara meditation posture, an art form from India, sitting cross-legged on a lotus flower.
