Tianxiang Scenic Area in Hualien is located in Taroko National Park. It is a beautiful place that combines magnificent mountains and rivers with human history. This trip to Tianxiang made me deeply feel the grandeur and tranquility of nature, as if I had entered a paradise far away from the hustle and bustle of the world.

Going along the Central Cross-Island Highway all the way into the Taroko Gorge, Tianxiang is surrounded by mountains, and the Liwu River flows by, with clear water forming a sharp contrast with the cliffs. Standing on the observation deck, you can overlook the entire valley. The magnificent scenery is breathtaking. The air is fresh, and the only sounds in your ears are the gurgling water and the occasional bird song, which makes people feel particularly peaceful.

The place name of Tianxiang comes from Wen Tianxiang. Xiangde Temple in the park is a unique Buddhist temple that integrates Han and Tibetan architectural styles. The temple is solemn and peaceful, with a lot of incense. Many tourists come here to pray. In addition to the temple, there is also a bronze statue of Chiang Kai-shek and an archway, telling different aspects of Taiwan's history.

When you come to Tianxiang, you must not miss the Baiyang Trail. This trail runs along the canyon, and you can see spectacular canyon landforms and waterfalls along the way.
