Recording the sound memory of time, Hualien Port Broadcasting Station 1944

When I traveled to Hualien, I made a special trip to visit this low-key but historic old building - [Hualien Port Broadcasting Station 1944]. Built during the Japanese colonial period, it was once an important wireless broadcasting center in the eastern region and witnessed the sound years of Hualien.

The appearance of the broadcasting station retains the elegant layout of the Showa era, with simple gray and white walls and high window arches, which is a retro style that is loved by photography enthusiasts. Exhibitions and cultural activities are held from time to time, combining old architecture with new ideas, which is refreshing.

I attended a sound exhibition here. Standing in the recording studio, I seemed to hear the tone of the broadcaster from more than 70 years ago floating in the air. This place is not just a tourist attraction, it is more like a time machine that records memories.
