【Must-Visit in Hualien 2025】Pacific International Stone Stacking Art Festival

When the waves become the curators, stones and driftwood start to tell their stories—

The first stop of my trip to Taiwan this time is Hualien, all for the annual "Pacific International Stone Stacking Art Festival." During the event, Qixingtan transforms into an open-air art gallery, inviting artists from around the world to use coastal stones and driftwood as materials to create breathing installation art between the tides and mountains.

✨ Event Highlights

Artists from Japan, Korea, New Zealand, and other countries will create stone stacking installations "in dialogue with the sea" on-site. Each piece changes its appearance with the shifting light and tides.

📌 Practical Information

📍 Venue: Qixingtan Coast, Xincheng Township, Hualien County
📅 Exhibition Period: 2025/5/17–8/30 (Free Admission)
🚗 Transportation Tips:
・About a 40-minute bike ride from Hualien City
