Introducing Sanmao Palace

On August 15, 1995, within the Sanmao Palace, a sacred Taoist site in Hengshanwao, Xinfeng Town, incense curled brightly, bells and drums rang out, and more than ten Taoist priests, clad in Taoist robes, chanted sutras to accompaniment. The gentle and profound Taoist music and the rhythmic chanting echoed through the valley, surrounded by winding peaks, lush forests, lush bamboos, and gurgling springs, adding a magical touch to the usually quiet Hengshanwao.

It turned out that the Taoist priests at Sanmao Temple were holding a ceremony to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, initiated by the China Taoist Association and held simultaneously at Taoist sites across the country. The ceremony commemorated the 36 Dantu anti-Japanese heroes and all the revolutionary patriots who sacrificed their lives for their country, and prayed for world peace. Over 2,000 Taoist believers and the public attended this grand ceremony. Since then, the Taoist chanting and fasting ceremonies held at Sanmao Temple in Hengshan'ao have become increasingly famous, attracting a significant increase in pilgrims and tourists.
