Dashi Nose Mountain Trail|Hualien's Most Beautiful Coastal Wooden Boardwalk, Easy Hike with Stunning Ocean Views

📍 Location
Located in Qixingtan Coastal Recreation Area, Fengbin Township, Hualien County (Taiwan Highway 11, 38.5K), this small hill, resembling a protruding nose or a turtle's back, is also known as "Turtle Hermitage Mountain."

🚗 Transportation
• By car: Drive along Taiwan Highway 11 to Qixingtan Coastal Recreation Area and navigate to "Dashi Nose Mountain Trail." Free parking and public restrooms are available.
• By public transport: Take the coastal bus heading towards Jingpu/Chenggong/Taitung from Hualien Station and get off at "Turtle Hermitage Station" or "Qixingtan Beach Station." The trail is about a 1–2 minute walk away.

📝 Personal Experience
This trail is short, about 750–910 meters round trip, featuring wooden sleepers and stone steps. It includes pavilions and mileage markers, and the entire hike takes about 50 minutes to 1 hour, making it very accessible. I visited on a sunny afternoon, and the gradient blue ocean breeze was breathtaking. Photos taken near the pavilion looked almost like postcards. The best photo spot is the wooden boardwalk near the second pavilion, where the sunset creates a poetic scene that will make you want to snap multiple shots.
