Green Rebirth: A Complete Experience at the Fushun Coal Mine Museum

Standing on the observation deck of the Fushun Coal Mine Museum and looking down, you see a massive pit 6.6 kilometers long from east to west, 2.2 kilometers wide from north to south, and 420 meters deep vertically, gradually being covered by vast areas of vegetation🍃, spreading out like a "green carpet."
This transformation from black to green is the most touching exhibit of the Fushun Coal Mine🌲. When the deep pit is dressed in layers of green, the vegetation on the slopes after restoration looks like green steps, and wildflowers bloom sporadically beside the transport railway. It turns out that the mine pit and nature can coexist like this🌱.
Inside the museum, there is a 16-ton "King of Coal." It is said that during mining, it was blasted twice but never broke open... Its texture is as fine as tree rings. Now displayed in the Fushun Coal Mine Museum, it adds great scenery. Truly, "Heaven rewards diligence, heaven grants the King of Coal."
📚 Besides the "King of Coal," this museum has at least three other highlights you shouldn’t miss——
1️⃣ Geological Evolution
The coal seam profile specimen looks like a giant chocolate mille-feuille. The veins on the leaf fossils are still clear. Interactive devices demonstrate "how coal is formed," and children keep tiptoeing to press the buttons🔬.
2️⃣ Mining History
From pickaxe and shovel to comprehensive mechanization, real mining equipment from three generations are compared. The smiles of miners in old photos on the wall are more moving than any narration📸.
3️⃣ Ecological Restoration
This newly added section is my favorite! It shows the transformation plan of the mine pit into a park, displays soil improvement technology, and even exhibits experimental crops planted in the mining area🌾.
🚂 The most surprising experience:
The simulated underground tunnel is incredibly realistic. When the weight of the safety helmet presses on your head, you suddenly understand the meaning of "light underground." The sunlight at the exit becomes especially precious💡.
