Riding the Rapids: A Courageous Challenge on Xiuguluan River

At 6 a.m., I stood by the banks of Xiuguluan River in Ruisui Township, Hualien, gazing at the relentless torrents before me, feeling both nervous and excited. Donning a life jacket and gripping my paddle tightly, my companions and I boarded the inflatable raft. At the coach's command, we plunged into the waves.

The waters of Xiuguluan River roared with power, carrying us through more than ten rapids along the way. Each time we dropped into a trough, water splashed from all directions. We screamed, laughed, and even tumbled around, but our hearts had never felt so alive. By the time we reached the shore, we were drenched but exhilarated. This river was not just an adventure; it felt like a metaphor for life's journey against the current.
