📍 Location:
97 Phan Đình Phùng Street, Huế City, by the poetic An Cựu River.
An Dinh Palace was originally built in the early 20th century as the private residence of Prince Nguyễn Phúc Bửu Đảo (later Emperor Khải Định). Between 1917–1919, it was expanded and renamed a royal palace. Today, it's one of the few remaining examples of early 20th-century royal architecture with a unique fusion of Eastern and Western styles.
The palace once included 10 structures, but only 3 main components remain:
The Main Gate
Trung Lập Pavilion
Khải Tường Pavilion (main palace building)
An Dinh Palace is not just a royal residence — it's a testament to cultural fusion, artistic excellence, and the twilight years of Vietnam's last imperial dynasty.
Whether you’re an architecture lover, history buff, or just looking for a beautiful place to explore in Huế, An Dinh Palace offers a quiet yet powerful journey into Vietnam’s regal past.
