Imperial Citadel Hue

#VietnamTravel Vietnam's palaces were influenced by the Forbidden City in Beijing, both in terms of architecture, colors, symbols, and characters.

When I had the chance to go, I admit that I didn't understand it at all, both the place and the people. Plus, Vietnam's weather is known for being hot, very hot, and extremely hot. But when I walked in to see the decorations of the place, I can say that it was very enjoyable. Most tourists, from what I observed, would stop to take pictures at the square with the Vietnamese flag, which is another highlight here.

If you want to see the entire Hue Palace, it will take half a day and a lot of energy because you have to walk alone and there are not many trees to hide from the heat. But it's worth it because learning about the historical and architectural value is probably not as good as seeing the real thing, both the glory of the monarchy, the strong influence of China, and the sadness of the war that still lingers in this Forbidden City.
